Colona Is Located In  North West Henry County, Just Outside The Quad Cities.
Our Club Was Formed In 2006.
We Focus On Helping Our Community, Primarily On Children And Women's Projects.

GFWC IL Colona Area JuniorsColona Area Juniors are publishing our own cookbook with our favorite recipes and recipes we have collected from friends and relatives.It will be called " A Taste of Home" it will go on sale in May.

The sale of the cookbook will raise funds for our projects and most importantly help us to reach our goal to help our Public Library with their new fence, outside of their new addition.

We will hold a County Style Bake Sale in May-featuring home baked breads, pies, and cookies.

We are working on our Parade Entry for the Colona Memorial Day Parade--Also, The Colona Area Juniors just held their Christmas Meeting on Dec. 10. The celebration included a potluck luncheon, and ornament exchange, Illinois's LEAD Candidate was the special guest, sharing information on the LEADS Program. Colona Area Juniors then spent the afternoon decorating the stockings for the Women's Shelter

WE ARE LEARNING ABOUT OUR DISTRICTS !!

Colona Area Junior have just finished hosting the Annual Spring Convention for the 14/15th Junior District at Indian Trails Resort, Colona, IL
The theme for decorating was -you guessed it-SPRING !  This event was held on April 1st, with 40 members in attendence from 6 Junior Clubs.

Colona Area Juniors are also helping to host the 15th District Spring Convention this year with all the Henry County Clubs
  April 19 at Lake Bracken Country Club, Galesburg, IL.
This event will feature a theme celebrating Child Abuse Prevention Month and our District  President's train theme–
" All Aboard the Blue Ribbon Dining Car"
